New Orner Jewelry!

As our new spring jewelry collections continue to arrive from Europe, we thought we'd let you know about Orner's exciting new jewelry for spring. It's all about statement necklaces and black is THE "in" color this season - so feast your eyes on these fab necklaces we can't wait to wear!

The
Gumball Choker is sure to turn heads with its big, glossy black beads on a chunky, edgy chain and the Goth Layered Chain Necklace is the coolest accessory we've seen in a while, with its weighty, mismatched chains in a gorgeous matte black. Layer the metallic Calla Lily Necklace with either of these - or wear it alone with a plunging neckline - and you'll look like you stepped straight off the runways from Paris.

Happy Shopping!
Love, Kim&Maki

More Reasons to Love BussBuss

The DailyBuss: August 24, 2007

Haute Shop of the Week: Kim&Maki

The beauty of fashion and online shopping is that there's always something new to discover. But sometimes a girl feels like she's seen it all. Especially when it comes to jewelry.

Which is why we were happily, and admittedly surprisingly, wowed by the newest and coolest jewelry boutique on the block, Kim&Maki.

Carrying lots of up-and-coming jewelry designers from Paris to Tokyo to New York and everywhere in between, it's a new eye-candyland and we're ready to play.

We especially love the tough-luxe vibe of Orner and also fell for Marjorie Victor's organic and artistic pieces, as well as the vintage-inspired jewelry by Medecine Douce and the crafty-cool of Mur.

Discover your fave designers and pieces, including rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, brooches and hairpins, here at Kim&Maki.

P.S. Kim&Maki loves us too and is giving BussBuss readers an exclusive 30% off with code BUSSKM30 at checkout through September 24, 2007.

Our Obsessions: Leather Flower Chain Necklace

We love-love-love this fashion-forward necklace by Parisian costume designer Orner!

Think of it as more like a scarf than a piece of serious jewelry. It makes a bold enough statement on its own, so we would recommend wearing this necklace (pictured here in beige, but equally if not more fabulous in black), with something minimal.

Take a risk and be daring... Fashion should be fun, and this necklace is it!

Our Obsessions: Snowflake Pendant

I have been kind of lazy lately in putting my outfits together and honestly, have not been in a super accessorizing mood in the mornings- but that said, I have found The Snowflake Pendant by Orner to be so versatile! This necklace goes with everything- jeans to dresses and so comfortable to wear. It’s the necklace that is hip enough to add a “little something” to a comfortable yet boring outfit (and we all have at least 2 outfits like that)!

About Orner

Orner means to adorn in French, and this collection takes that definition seriously! From rocker chains to bohemian charms, Orner jewelry takes a progressive stance on jewelry. This collection emphasizes simplicity and aims to accessorize clothing without overloading the body.

Hiroko Omari was born and raised in Japan where she graduated from Tokyo Mode Gakuen with a degree in fashion design. In 1998, Hiroko moved to Paris to design accessories under her own label, Orner. The inspiration for much of her collection is drawn from motifs, poetry or mythical legends, which she then interprets into different themes for each collection. Hiroko also likes to mix and match materials, pairing metals with leather, wood, rattan, shells and other raw materials. The result is an innovative collection with lots of texture and dimension.

We were immediately attracted to Hiroko’s Japanese-punk-meets-Parisian-hipster style and were not surprised to discover that her jewelry designs were incredibly fashion-forward, just like her. Don’t miss each seasonal selection from Orner and let your inner rock star break through!
