Congratulations to Alex Monroe, winner of the UK Jewellery Awards' Designer of the Year! This is exciting news for those of us already familiar with Alex's artistic jewelry - if not, take a look and you'll see the beauty of his pieces and how well-deserved this recognition is.
On that note, we are happy to announce that new items from Alex's coveted collection have begun to arrive for Fall/Winter '08. A continuation of his fab Forbidden Fruit/Garden of Eden theme - we have added the amazing Bumblebee and Snake pendants. The Feather Pendant (with matching earrings, coming soon) was a recent hit on Net-A-Porter.com and sold out in days!
The Victor & Albert Museum Shop celebrates the launch of The William and Judith Bollinger Jewellery Gallery with the introduction of over 800 designs across three new ranges. Both Alex Monroe and Comfort Station, two of Kim&Maki favorite featured , were commissioned to design limited edition jewelry for the Cherry on the Cake range.
The Concise Book of Patterns Necklace by Comfort Station is reminiscent of the Book of Knots Necklace, which is coming in stock soon from their Fall/Winter '08 collection. We'll let you know when it arrives!

After completing a fine art degree at the Ruskin, Oxford, London-born Amy Anderson made her way from sculpture, photography and video installation to setting up her label Comfort Station and never looked back. Although initially intended as a part-time way of funding her art work, Comfort Station quickly took off and shops were soon knocking at the door.
We immediately were drawn to the vintage-y style of Amy's unusual designs: jewelry with hidden messages and unusual combinations of materials and techniques sets this collection apart from any other and we hope you love it as much as we do!
Comfort Station is backed by solid principals; the high level of craftsmanship is guaranteed -each piece of jewelry is handmade in their studio in East London thus keeping it from becoming a mass-produced object. No animal products are used throughout the label and all the wood is from sustainable resources.

Lise Ferreira designs jewelry under the name Lyie Van Rycke. This line consists of basic design shapes in sterling silver and/or gold plate which are refined down to their purest form. Her aim is to create jewelry that highlights and enhances the skin on which they live.
Born in Paris, Lise graduated from l'Universite de Paris 8 with a degree in Plastic Arts. Soon after, she launched her brand in 2000 to immediate acclaim and recognition. Her jewelry can be found in the ever-fabulous Colette shop in Paris - and in 2005 the FNAC (National Foundation of Contemporary Arts) added her designs to its permanent collection, alongside it's exhibit of Philippe Stark designs.
We met Lise years ago in Paris and carried her line when we were just in startup mode. Her "Je T'Aime" charms caught our eye initially and we're happy to see that she has expanded to her line to include such whimsical additions as the Skull Pendant. We hope you love this collection of great basics!
